Livi Hibs Real Ale Society decided to take in the bars of Uddingston for our trip to Lanarkshire (Rowan Tree is a lovely boozer) and upon recommendation we ended up in this traditional curry house. After the climb up the red carpeted stairs, we stepped back in time, as the decor was from another age. The mustard coloured wallpaper and table cloths and the extensive menu had more talking points than the sub-standard football we watched earlier in the day. Big portions, lethal chilli nan and friendly service was just what these hungry Hibbys required. Good value curry with a no nonsense approach, LHRAS Curry Club Federation would happily go for another scran here again.

Living in Birmingham I have visited many restaurants serving Indian food. I have to say this one is on a par with the best I have visited. Very fresh and tasty food and excellent service from Hazel!! She has 24 yrs loyal service and knows everything on the menu. If in doubt....ask Hazel!!! Very friendly atmosphere and prompt service. Although quite dated decor, the food and service certainly makes up for it. Highly recommend a visit.
